Retrograde Mars in Third House in Aquarius
When retrograde Mars is placed in the third house of a horoscope in Aquarius, Sagittarius rises in the ascendant. Mars rules the fifth and twelfth house. In general, it is partly benefic and partly malefic here, though the benefic part is higher, in most cases. Retrograde Mars in the third house of horoscope in Aquarius is benefic in many cases, though it may turn malefic in some cases. It may happen when such retrograde Mars is influenced by one or more malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope. Taking an example, suppose retrograde Mars is placed in the third house of a horoscope in Aquarius with malefic Venus. Malefic Moon is placed in the fifth house in Aries with exalted Sun and malefic Ketu; Rahu is placed in the eleventh house in Libra, Mercury is placed in the sixth house in Taurus, Saturn is placed in the twelfth house in Scorpio, and benefic Jupiter is placed in the seventh house in Gemini. Ketu forms Grahan Yoga in the fifth house, by afflicting Sun as well as Moon.
In this case, native’s parents may get divorced during his childhood, and he may live with his mother, losing his father. He may not achieve much professional success throughout his life, though he may earn well at times. He may witness financial losses and bad reputation through profession. He may remain jobless for periods of more than 3 months, many times in his life. He may witness several problems because of some of his siblings. He may witness 1 or 2 failed marriages, and he may settle in his second or third marriage. He may lose more than one child to death, through miscarriages that his wife/wives may witness. He may lose custody of his children from first marriage to his wife, through divorce.
