When Rahu is malefic in a horoscope and it afflicts Sun by virtue of its placement in some house of the horoscope along with Sun, Pitra Dosh is formed in the horoscope due to malefic Rahu. Similarly, if malefic and fully active Rahu is placed in the ninth house of a horoscope or it is placed with the lord of the ninth house in a horoscope, Pitra Dosh is formed in the horoscope. Pitra Dosh formed by Rahu can trouble the native with many types of problems which may differ from person to person depending on the overall tone of their horoscopes.
