When exalted Sun is placed in the twelfth house in a horoscope, Taurus rises in the ascendant. Exalted Sun is benefic in the twelfth house in many cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This generally happens when Sun is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Sun may become more malefic.
If exalted Sun is afflicted by two or more than two malefic planets in the twelfth house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such exalted Sun can also turn it malefic in some cases, when such theme is malefic. The twelfth house is a difficult to handle house. Hence Sun has a tendency to turn malefic in this house, even if the overall horoscope is significantly and not highly malefic. Some natives under this benefic influence may engage in fields like spiritualism, astrology, tantra, numerology, yoga, healing of various types and other likewise fields. Taking an example, suppose a benefic combination of exalted Sun and Mercury is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Aries. Suppose Mars is placed in the fifth house in Virgo and Jupiter is placed in the fourth house in Leo. Suppose benefic Saturn is placed in the ninth house of this horoscope in Capricorn, Venus is placed in the first house in Taurus and Moon is placed in the third house in Cancer. In this case, the native may engage in the field of spiritualism and he may witness good results. Such native may become a spiritual guru and he may have a large number of followers. The native is not likely to begin a new spiritual mission and he’s likely to inherit the post of a spiritual head, from his guru. It means such native may join a spiritual mission, he may serve it for many years and the head of such spiritual mission may pass his post to the native.
Such benefic exalted Sun can also bless the native with success which may come through foreign countries. The native may settle in a foreign country on the basis of his profession or on the basis of his marriage, depending on his overall horoscope. Taking an example, suppose a benefic combination of exalted Sun and Mercury is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Aries, Venus is placed in the eleventh house in Pisces, Mars is placed in the first house in Taurus, Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Aquarius and Ketu is placed in the fourth house in Leo. In this case, the native may go abroad on the basis of profession and he may settle there permanently. The native may achieve good or very good amount of professional success in such foreign country and he may also enjoy a good marriage.
On the other hand, malefic exalted Sun in the twelfth house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to mother, father, education, vehicles, properties, health, marriage and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope. Looking at mother, suppose a combination of exalted Sun and Venus is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Aries. In this case, the native may face various types of problems related to his mother, depending on his overall horoscope. For instance, if Moon is placed in the sixth house in Libra and Saturn is placed in the fourth house in Leo, native’s mother may suffer from health problems which may trouble her a lot.
Looking at another variation, suppose the recent placements of Moon and Saturn are annulled. Suppose Moon is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius along with malefic Ketu, Rahu is placed in the second house in Gemini, malefic Mars is placed in the fourth house in Leo and malefic exalted Jupiter is placed in the third house in Cancer. In this case, the native may lose his mother during childhood, either due to divorce between his parents or due to her death, depending on the finer factors and running times.
Looking at health, suppose a combination of exalted Sun and Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Aries. A combination of exalted Venus and debilitated Mercury is placed in the eleventh house in Pisces, Rahu is placed in the second house in Gemini and Ketu is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius. In this case, the native may get addicted to harmful drugs, he may consume them on regular basis and he may suffer from various types of health problems. If Saturn is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius with malefic Ketu, and debilitated Moon is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio with malefic Mars, the equation may become worse. The native may die before the age of 35, likely due to drug overdose or due to a serious health issue created by consumption of harmful drugs on regular basis.
