When exalted Sun is placed in the tenth house in a horoscope, Cancer rises in the ascendant. Exalted Sun is benefic in the tenth house in most cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This generally happens when Sun is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Sun may become more malefic.
If exalted Sun is afflicted by two or more than two malefic planets in the tenth house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such exalted Sun can also turn it malefic in some cases, when such theme is highly malefic. Benefic exalted Moon is placed in the eleventh house in Taurus and benefic exalted Venus is placed in the ninth house in Pisces. In this case, the native may develop creative tendencies and he may engage in a creative field like he may become a singer or an actor or both. If Saturn is placed in the third house of this horoscope in Virgo and Mars is placed in the eleventh house in Taurus along with exalted Moon, the equation may improve. The native may become an actor, he may work in mainstream movies and he may achieve very good results through this profession.
Considering another probability, suppose the recent placements of Saturn and Mars are annulled. Suppose Rahu is placed in the second house in Leo, Ketu is placed in the eighth house in Aquarius and benefic Mars is placed in the ninth house in Pisces with exalted Venus. In this case, the native may become a singer though he may act in some movies also. The native may achieve very good results through the field of singing and he may start a music company after the age of 35.
Such benefic exalted Sun can also make the native interested in medical field. Taking an example, suppose a combination of exalted Sun and Jupiter is placed in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries. Exalted Saturn is placed in the fourth house in Libra and exalted Venus is placed in the ninth house in Pisces. In this case, the native may engage in the medical field, he may become a doctor and he may witness good results through this profession.
If Mercury is placed in the eleventh house in Taurus, Mars is placed in the ninth house in Pisces along with Venus, and Moon is placed in the fourth house in Libra with Saturn, the results may improve. The native may achieve very good amount of success as a doctor, he may start his own hospital after the age of 35 or 40, and he may witness very good results. If Rahu is placed in the first house in Cancer and Ketu is placed in the seventh house in Capricorn, the native may own more than one hospital and he may earn very good profits through them.
On the other hand, malefic exalted Sun in the tenth house can trouble the native with problems related to profession, finances, family, reputation, father, health, speech, communication and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope. Taking an example, suppose a combination of exalted Sun, Mercury and debilitated Saturn is placed in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries. In this case, the native may not find a permanent profession till the age of 40 and he may keep changing jobs. The native may also have to remain jobless for periods of more than 6 months, between job changes. If Jupiter is also placed in the tenth house in Aries and a combination of Venus and Rahu is placed in the twelfth house in Gemini when Ketu is placed in the sixth house in Sagittarius, the equation may become worse. In this case, the native may not find a permanent profession throughout his life, unless there are strong grace saving factors in his horoscope. Such native may engage in temporary jobs throughout his life.
Looking at marriage, such exalted Sun may create problems related to this field. Taking an example, suppose a combination of exalted Sun, malefic Mercury and Venus is placed in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries. In this case, Venus is afflicted by Mercury and it may receive combustion through exalted Sun. Hence this combination may prove troublesome for marriage, in case the native is male. If malefic debilitated Saturn is also placed in the tenth house in Aries along with Sun, Mercury and Venus, the problem may aggravate. The native may witness two or three broken marriages on account of serious problems in them and he may settle in his third or fourth marriage, unless there are grace saving factors in his horoscope.
