When exalted Sun is placed in the second house in a horoscope, Pisces rises in the ascendant. Exalted Sun is malefic in the second house in many cases though it may turn benefic in some cases. This generally happens when Sun is influenced by benefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of benefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Sun may become more benefic.
If exalted Sun is influenced by two or more than two benefic planets in the second house, it may turn significantly or highly benefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such exalted Sun can also turn it benefic in some cases, when such theme is highly benefic. Suppose a benefic combination of Mars and Moon forms Chandra Mangal Yoga in the first house of this horoscope in Pisces. In this case, the native may become a revenue officer or a judicial officer, depending on his overall horoscope. For instance, if Saturn is placed in the sixth house in Leo, Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Sagittarius and Ketu is placed in the fourth house in Gemini, the native may become a judge or judicial officer.
On the other hand, if exalted Sun in the second house of a horoscope is malefic, it can create various types of problems for the native, depending on his overall horoscope. One such native may suffer from problems related to profession, marriage, finances, health, family, speech and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope.
Looking at profession, some natives having this placement of malefic Sun may not earn much from their professions, some may have to change their professions many times in their lives, some may face losses through their professions, some may face bad reputation and some others may witness serious problems in their families or marriages, primarily due to their professions. Such malefic exalted Sun can also make the native engage in illegal activities and the native may become a professional criminal if his overall horoscope is supportive for this result.
Taking an example, if malefic exalted Sun is placed in the second house of a horoscope in Aries, debilitated Mercury is placed in the first house in Pisces, Jupiter is placed in eighth house in Libra and Venus is placed in the third house in Taurus, the native may not witness proper professional establishment till late in his life.
