Exalted Rahu in First House
Rahu is exalted in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Rahu. Exalted Rahu in the third house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Rahu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Rahu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Rahu in a horoscope increase, Rahu may become more benefic or malefic. If such exalted Rahu is influenced by malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may witness various types of problems related to or through his health and/or lifespan. For example, the native may die in an accident, through a natural disaster, due to a fatal disease, due to a fatal viral infection like COVID, due to drug addiction, he may commit suicide, or someone may kill him intentionally or unintentionally.
Taking an example, suppose malefic exalted Rahu is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Taurus with malefic Jupiter. Malefic exalted Ketu is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio with Mercury, malefic Mars is placed in the sixth house in Libra with Moon and Venus, and debilitated Saturn is placed in the twelfth house in Aries. If Sun is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, native’s father as well as mother may die before his age of 20 or 15. He may consume harmful drugs in heavy quantities, on regular basis. His first marriage may fail, and he may not get married again. He may die before his age of 40 or 35, due to drug overdose, or because of liver failure.
