Exalted Ketu in Fourth House
Ketu is exalted in Scorpio as well as in Pisces. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Exalted Ketu in the fourth house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Ketu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. Taking an example, suppose benefic exalted Ketu is placed in the fourth house of a horoscope in Pisces. Benefic exalted Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Virgo, debilitated Moon is placed in the twelfth house in Scorpio, benefic Sun is placed in the second house in Capricorn, benefic exalted Saturn is placed in the eleventh house in Libra, and benefic Jupiter is placed in the first house in Sagittarius with Venus and benefic Mercury. Jupiter forms Hamsa Yoga in the first house. In this case, the native may become a philosopher as well as spiritual guru, and he may witness good results.
If Mars is placed in the first house in Sagittarius with Jupiter, Mercury and Venus; the equation may become better. In this case, the native may possess remarkable spiritual wisdom, and he may come across very good amount of success, recognition and fame as a spiritual guru, as well as a philosopher. He may guide several people on the path to spiritual growth, and he may have a large number of followers. He may write several books on various topics. Benefic exalted Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Taurus with benefic Sun and benefic Venus; benefic Mars is placed in the eleventh house in Gemini, Jupiter is placed in the ninth house in Aries, and Moon is placed in the sixth house in Capricorn. In this case, the native may engage in real estate industry. He may start a company which may deal in real estate projects, and he may witness good results.
If benefic Mercury is placed in the eleventh house in Gemini with Mars, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may come across very good amount of success, money and recognition through real estate industry. His business may expand after his age of 35/40, and he may also invest in travel business. On the other hand, malefic exalted Ketu in the fourth house of a horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to mother, education, wealth, properties, vehicles, mental health, profession, finances, reputation, authority, recognition and several other problems, depending on his/her overall horoscope and running times.
If such exalted Ketu is influenced by malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may witness various types of problems related to or through his mother. For example, the native may not have a good equation with his mother, his parents may get divorced and he may live with his father, his mother may suffer from a long-lasting illness, she may be an alcoholic and/or a drug addict, she may be a criminal, and/or she may die before native’s age of 20, depending on native’s overall horoscope and running times.
Taking an example, suppose malefic exalted Ketu is placed in the fourth house of a horoscope in Pisces with malefic Moon and Mars. Malefic exalted Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Virgo with retrograde Mercury, Jupiter is placed in the sixth house in Taurus, malefic Venus is placed in the twelfth house in Scorpio with Saturn, and debilitated Sun is placed in the eleventh house in Libra. Ketu forms Grahan Yoga by afflicting Moon in the fourth house.
In this case, native’s mother may suffer from a mental disorder or disease, and she may die before native’s age of 15 or 10. The native may also suffer from a serious mental disorder or disease like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, and he may not get out of it, throughout his life. He may avail medicines and therapies to keep his situation under control. If the finer factors and running times are very bad, he may have to spend time in a mental asylum. He may not get married till his age of 35/40, or throughout his life.
