Debilitated Sun in Twelfth House
When debilitated Sun is placed in the twelfth house in a horoscope, Scorpio rises in the ascendant. Debilitated Sun is benefic in the twelfth house in some cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This may happen when Sun is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Sun may become more malefic.
Since Sun is weak due to debilitation, it may become easy for malefic planets to add negativity to Sun. If debilitated Sun is afflicted by one or more than one malefic planet in the twelfth house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such debilitated Sun can also turn it malefic in some cases, when such theme is malefic. Benefic Moon is placed in the third house in Capricorn along with Saturn, benefic exalted Jupiter is placed in the ninth house in Cancer, benefic Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Leo and Ketu is placed in the fourth house in Aquarius. In this case, native’s father may have a good lifespan as well as a good relationship with the native, unless Sun is afflicted by a malefic planet. Native’s father may be a revenue officer, doctor, engineer or administrative officer working with the government and he may enjoy good amount of success, recognition and authority. The native may witness many benefits through his father though his father may spend most of his time away from home, due to his professional commitments.
If a combination of Venus and Mercury is placed in the eleventh house in Scorpio and Mars is placed in the second house in Sagittarius, the equation may become better. In this case, native’s father may be a high authority government officer and the native may witness many benefits because of him. The native may himself achieve a post of high authority in government through job or through politics, depending on the finer factors and running times. If the native achieves authority through job, he may become a revenue officer or foreign services officer. If the native engages in politics, he may win public elections and he may become a minister in the state government or national government, depending on the finer factors and running times. The native may hold the ministry of foreign affairs, finance affairs, tourism or railways affairs, depending on the finer factors and running times.

On the other hand, malefic debilitated Sun in the twelfth house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to father, profession, finances, reputation, health, lifespan, spiritual growth and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope.
When debilitated Sun is joined by malefic planets in the twelfth house, maximum damage may be witnessed in the spheres of father and profession. Hence the native may come across various types of problems related to his father and/or those related to his profession, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
Taking an example, suppose debilitated Sun is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Libra with malefic Venus. It should be noted that Venus is duly malefic in this case and it is placed in a difficult house. Hence Neechbhang Rajyoga may not be formed in this case. On the contrary, such malefic and strong Venus may cause serious affliction to the already weak Sun. Hence Sun may receive a lot of negative energy from Venus and it may turn significantly malefic. Suppose Moon is placed in the eighth house in Gemini, Mars is placed in the first house in Scorpio, Saturn is placed in the tenth house in Leo and benefic Jupiter is placed in the fifth house in Pisces. In this case, the native may lose his father due to divorce between his parents or his father may die before native’s age of 20. The native may also face several problems related to professional sphere, like he may not establish in a profession, till the age of 35 or 40.
If malefic Mercury is placed in the twelfth house in Libra with Sun and Venus, malefic Ketu is placed in the tenth house in Leo with Saturn, and Rahu is placed in the fourth house in Aquarius, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may lose his father to death, before his age of 10 or 5, depending on the finer factors and running times. The native may not find a permanent profession throughout his life and he may only be able to engage in temporary jobs from time to time. He may also have to remain jobless for periods of more than 1 year, many times in his life. The native may also suffer from health problems and he may die before the age of 60 or 50, depending on the finer factors and running times.
