Debilitated Rahu in Ninth House
Rahu is debilitated in Scorpio as well as in Pisces. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Rahu. Debilitated Rahu is benefic in the ninth house in some cases whereas it may turn malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and malefic planets on Rahu and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Rahu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Rahu in a horoscope increase, Rahu may become more benefic or malefic. In an extreme case when such malefic Rahu is influenced by other malefic planets and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may lose his father to death before the age of 10 or 5 years.
Such malefic debilitated Rahu can also trouble the native with financial losses, delays, setbacks, job loss, bad reputation and several other problems through his profession. Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the ninth house of a horoscope in Scorpio with malefic Venus. Malefic Sun is placed in the tenth house in Sagittarius with Mercury, malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the third house in Taurus, benefic Jupiter is placed in the fourth house in Gemini and benefic Moon is placed in the first house in Pisces. If malefic Saturn is placed in the tenth house in Sagittarius with Sun and Mercury, and Mars is placed in the eighth house in Libra, the equation may become more troublesome. If the finer factors and running times are very negative, the native may lose his father, soon after his birth or soon before his birth.
