Debilitated Rahu in Second House
Rahu is debilitated in Scorpio as well as in Pisces. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Rahu. Debilitated Rahu in the second house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Rahu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Rahu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Rahu in a horoscope increase, Rahu may become more benefic or malefic. The concept of benefic planets turning malefic due to influences of malefic planets, and the concept of malefic planets turning benefic due to influences of benefic planets have been explained in the book ‘Match Making and Manglik Dosh’.
When benefic in nature, debilitated Rahu in the second house of a horoscope can bless the native with good results related to family, wealth, speech, profession, finances, reputation, authority, recognition, fame and several other good results, depending on his/her overall horoscope and running times.
Such debilitated Rahu can render various types of benefits to the native, related to or through his family. For example, the native may be born in a rich, influential, resourceful, well-respected, politically powerful, royal and/or spiritually advanced family, and he may witness several benefits by virtue of being a member of such family. In this case, the native may start a TV channel, and he may witness good results.
If benefic retrograde Jupiter is placed in the fifth house in Gemini, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may come across very good amount of success, money and recognition through media industry. His business may expand after his age of 35/40, and he may own several TV channels. He may also start a media production company, and he may witness very good results. If the finer factors and running times are supportive, he may own a business empire worth in billions, by his age of 55/60.

On the other hand, malefic debilitated Rahu in the second house of a horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to family, wealth, speech, profession, finances, reputation, authority, recognition and several other problems, depending on his/her overall horoscope and running times.
If such debilitated Rahu is influenced by malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may witness various types of problems related to or through his family. For example, the native may be born in a family which may be poor, and/or some of his family members may be alcoholics, drug addicts, criminals and/or they may have some other negative traits. Hence the native may witness several problems in his life, due to bad reputation of his family, and/or bad conducts of some family members. His family may have a history of some type of genetic illness and/or abnormalities, and the native may inherit such illness and/or abnormalities. He may also witness various types of problems and/or abnormalities related to his speech, and he may face several issues because of such abnormalities. The native may also witness delays, financial losses, setbacks, failures, job loss, bad reputation and several other problems related to or through his profession.
Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Rahu and malefic Jupiter form Guru Chandal Yoga in the second house of a horoscope in Scorpio. Malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the eighth house in Taurus with Saturn; Moon is placed in the twelfth house in Virgo, exalted Venus is placed in the sixth house in Pisces with Mars; and benefic exalted Sun is placed in the seventh house in Aries with Mercury.
In this case, native’s mother may die before his age of 10 or 5. He may become a criminal. He may become leader of a group which may engage in drug trafficking and woman trafficking. He may traffic narcotics worth in billions, over some years. He may kidnap and sell several women, and he may rape many of them. He may get caught between his age of 35 and 45, and he may serve a prison sentence of more than 15 years. If the finer factors and running times are very bad, he may spend more than 20/30 years in prison.
Taking another example, suppose malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the second house of a horoscope in Pisces with Saturn. Malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the eighth house in Virgo with debilitated Venus; Sun is placed in the sixth house in Cancer with Mercury; debilitated Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house in Capricorn, malefic Moon is placed in the fifth house in Gemini, and benefic Mars is placed in the seventh house in Leo.
In this case, native’s father may die before his age of 10 or 5. He may not find a permanent profession throughout his life. He may only find temporary jobs, and he may remain jobless for periods of more than 3 months, many times in his life. He may witness financial tightness and debts from time to time. His first marriage may fail, and he may not get married again. He may lose custody of his children from first marriage to his wife, through divorce.
