Debilitated Moon in Third House
When debilitated Moon is placed in the third house in a horoscope, Virgo rises in the ascendant. Debilitated Moon is benefic in the third house in most cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This may happen when Moon is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Moon may become more malefic.
Since Moon is weak due to debilitation, it may become easy for malefic planets to add negativity to Moon. If debilitated Moon is afflicted by one or more than one malefic planet in the third house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such debilitated Moon can also turn it malefic in some cases, when such theme is malefic. In this case, the native may become an actor. The native may start his career early and he may work in television programs. If exalted Saturn is placed in the second house in Libra, and Mars is placed in the seventh house in Pisces with Venus and Rahu, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may start his career from television, but he may soon start working in mainstream movies, in lead roles. The native may come across very good amount of success, money, fame and recognition as an actor, after the age of 25. He may specialize in the genres of romance, drama and tragedy. Such debilitated Moon can trouble the native with setbacks, failures, financial losses, bad reputation, job loss, discontinuation of profession and several other problems through his profession, depending on his overall horoscope. Taking an example, suppose debilitated Moon is placed in the third house of a horoscope in Scorpio with malefic Mars. Malefic Sun is placed in the first house in Virgo, Mercury is placed in the twelfth house in Leo with malefic Ketu, malefic Rahu is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius and Saturn is placed in the eleventh house in Cancer. In this case, the native may not find a permanent profession till 35 or 40 years of his age. Suppose Venus is placed in the twelfth house in Leo with Mercury and Ketu, and Jupiter is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius with Rahu. In this case, the native may not settle in a profession, throughout his life. He may engage in various jobs from time to time. However, he may either quit them or the employers may terminate his services. He may also engage in a business of his own, once or twice in his life. However, he may face serious financial losses and he may have to shut down the business due to such losses. The native may remain jobless for more than 1 year, many times in his life. He may witness financial tightness and he may also suffer from financial debts, most of which he may not be able to pay back in time. Such debilitated Moon can disturb the mental health of the native, especially when it is joined by malefic planets. Taking an example, suppose debilitated Moon is placed in the third house of a horoscope in Scorpio with malefic Sun and Saturn. Malefic Rahu is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius with malefic Mars, and malefic Ketu is placed in the twelfth house in Leo. In this case, the native may suffer from serious mental problems and he may have to avail treatment, for many years in life or throughout his life. If Mercury is placed in the third house in Scorpio with Sun, Moon and Saturn; and Jupiter is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius with Mars and Rahu, the equation may become more troublesome. The native may suffer from a serious mental disease and he may never get rid of it. He may spend many years of his life in a mental asylum and he may also die there.
