Debilitated Mercury in Sixth House
When debilitated Mercury is placed in the sixth house in a horoscope, Libra rises in the ascendant. Debilitated Mercury is benefic in the sixth house in some cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This may happen when Mercury is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Mercury may become more malefic.
Since Mercury is weak due to debilitation, it may become easy for malefic planets to add negativity to Mercury. If debilitated Mercury is afflicted by one or more than one malefic planet in the sixth house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, Jupiter is generally malefic for horoscopes with Libra ascendant and Venus is partly malefic in such horoscopes. Hence none of these planets can rescue Mercury through Neechbhang Rajyoga. These facts make this placement of Mercury, a difficult one. Taking an example, suppose debilitated Mercury is placed in the sixth house of a horoscope in Pisces with malefic Jupiter and malefic Rahu. Mercury may turn significantly malefic in this case, and the overall combination in the sixth house may become highly malefic. Benefic debilitated Saturn is placed in the seventh house in Aries, benefic Moon is placed in the twelfth house in Virgo with malefic Ketu, and Mars is placed in the eighth house in Taurus. Guru Chandal Yoga is formed in the sixth house whereas Grahan Yoga is formed in the twelfth house.
In this case, the native may suffer from various types of health problems which may trouble him and they may reduce his lifespan. Hence the native may die before the age of 60 or 55, depending on his overall horoscope and running times. If Sun as well as exalted Venus is placed in the sixth house in Pisces with Jupiter, Mercury and Rahu, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may die before the age of 50, 40 or 35, depending on the finer factors and running times. The native may die because of stomach cancer or pancreatic cancer.
