Debilitated Mars in Twelfth House
When debilitated Mars is placed in the twelfth house in a horoscope, Leo rises in the ascendant. Debilitated Mars is benefic in the twelfth house in many cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This may happen when Mars is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Mars may become more malefic.
Since Mars is weak due to debilitation, it may become easy for malefic planets to add negativity to Mars. If debilitated Mars is afflicted by one or more than one malefic planet in the twelfth house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such debilitated Mars can also turn it malefic in some cases, when such theme is malefic. Taking an example, suppose benefic debilitated Mars is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Cancer. Benefic Sun is placed in the fourth house in Scorpio, benefic Venus is placed in the fifth house in Sagittarius, Moon is placed in the sixth house in Capricorn, Ketu is placed in the second house in Virgo and Saturn is placed in the eighth house in Pisces with benefic Rahu. The native may work for a well-established private organization and he may come across good amount of success, money and recognition as a scientist.
If benefic Mercury is placed in the fourth house in Scorpio with Sun, and Jupiter is placed in the first house in Leo, the equation may improve. In this case, the native may possess very good knowledge of his field and he may witness a lot of success, money and recognition as a scientist. If the finer factors and running times are supportive, the native may go abroad on the basis of his profession and he may settle there permanently. The native may come across an important discovery/invention after the age of 40 or 45 and he may witness money, fame and recognition due to such success. He may get married to a woman who may be a doctor, scientist, teacher, charted account or engineer and the couple may enjoy a good marriage, though they may not be able to spend much time together, on account of their professional commitments.

On the other hand, malefic debilitated Mars in the twelfth house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to mental health, mother, father, profession, finances, reputation, education, properties, vehicles and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
In horoscopes with Leo ascendant, Mars rules the fourth and ninth house. Hence it represents mother, father and mental health among other things. Mars is weak due to debilitation and the twelfth house features a hostile environment. In this case, Mars can’t be rescued through Neechbhang Rajyoga, since Moon is malefic and Jupiter is partly malefic in horoscopes with Leo ascendant. Hence the native may face various types of problems related to mother, father and mental health. If such debilitated Mars is influenced by malefic planets, the quantum of such problems may increase. Taking an example, suppose debilitated Mars is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Cancer with malefic Saturn. Malefic Moon is placed in the first house in Leo, malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the fourth house in Scorpio with Sun, and malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the tenth house in Taurus with Jupiter. Grahan Yoga is formed in the fourth house and Guru Chandal Yoga is formed in the tenth house. In this case, the native may lose his father before his age of 20 years and he may suffer from various types of mental problems.
If Mercury is placed in the fourth house in Scorpio with Sun and Ketu; and Venus is placed in the sixth house in Capricorn, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may suffer from a serious mental disorder and he may have to spend many years in a mental asylum. If the finer factors and running times are unfavourable, the native may spend more than 10 years of his life in a mental asylum, after the age of 35. The native may die in a mental asylum, between the age of 45 and 60.
Apart from these, malefic debilitated Mars in the twelfth house of horoscope can trouble the native with several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
