Debilitated Ketu in Twelfth House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu is benefic in the twelfth house in some cases whereas it may turn malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and malefic planets on Ketu and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. On the other hand, malefic debilitated Ketu in the twelfth house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to profession, finances, reputation, spiritual growth, addictions, imprisonment, black magic and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
Such malefic debilitated Ketu can make the native interested in various types of harmful substances, and he may get addicted to them, if his overall horoscope supports this result. Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Taurus with Venus, and malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the sixth house in Scorpio with malefic Mars. Angarak Yoga is formed in the sixth house. In general, Venus is partly malefic in horoscopes with Gemini ascendant. It is placed in a difficult house and it is afflicted by malefic Ketu. Hence Venus may turn significantly/highly malefic, and the overall combination in the twelfth house may turn duly malefic. Suppose debilitated Mercury is placed in the tenth house in Pisces with benefic Sun, and benefic Moon is placed in the fifth house in Libra. In this case, the native may get addicted to harmful drugs, and he may also become a criminal. He may get caught and he may spend 5 years or more in prison. If Jupiter is placed in the sixth house in Scorpio with Mars and Rahu; and Saturn is placed in the twelfth house in Taurus with Venus and Ketu, the equation may become worse. Guru Chandal Yoga is formed in the sixth house. In this case, the native may become a hardcore criminal and he may consume drugs in heavy quantities. The native may spend 15 years or more in prison, and he may even die inside prison. The native may die because of drug overdose or due to a serious health condition caused by drug abuse.
