Debilitated Ketu in Fourth House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu is benefic in the fourth house in some cases whereas it may turn malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and malefic planets on Ketu and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. Taking an example, suppose benefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the fourth house of a horoscope in Taurus with exalted Moon. Benefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Scorpio. Benefic Mars is placed in the third house in Aries, Mercury is placed in the first house in Aquarius, benefic Sun is placed in the twelfth house in Capricorn, and Saturn is placed in the sixth house in Cancer. In this case, the native may become a police officer.
Taking another example, suppose benefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the fourth house of a horoscope in Virgo with benefic exalted Mercury and benefic Sun. Benefic exalted Mercury may form Bhadra Yoga in the fourth house whereas Sun and Mercury may form Budhaditya Yoga in the same house. Suppose benefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Pisces, Mars is placed in the third house in Leo, Venus is placed in the sixth house in Capricorn and benefic Moon is placed in the second house in Cancer. In this case, the native may become a lawyer. He may specialize in criminal law, he may practice at a higher court of law and he may come across good amount of success, money and recognition as a lawyer. The native may have a good success rate and he may be known for his impressive presentations as well as intelligent arguments.
If Saturn is placed in the fourth house in Virgo with Sun, Mercury and Ketu; and benefic Jupiter is placed in the third house in Leo with Mars, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may possess very good knowledge of law and he may achieve a lot of success, money and recognition as a lawyer. After the age of 40 or 45, the native may get elevated to the post of a judge at a higher court of law. He may witness very good amount of success, recognition and authority as a judge, and he may accomplish a lot during his career. The native may deliver several benchmark judgments during his career. He may serve as the chief justice of a higher court of law, after the age of 50. If the finer factors and running times are supportive, the native may serve as the chief justice of the highest court of law in his country.

On the other hand, malefic debilitated Ketu in the fourth house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to mother, education, properties, vehicles, wealth, security, mental health, profession, finances, reputation and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
Such malefic debilitated Ketu can trouble the native with various types of problems related to his mother. The native may not have good equation with his mother, his mother may be physically/mentally ill, she may be a criminal, she may be a drug addict or alcoholic, native’s parents may get divorced and the native may live with his father; and/or some other type of problem. In an extreme case when such malefic debilitated Ketu is influenced by other malefic planets and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may lose his mother to death, before his age of 10 or 5 years. The native may also suffer from various types of problems related to mental health, among other issues.
Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the fourth house of a horoscope in Taurus with Saturn and malefic exalted Moon. Malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Scorpio. Debilitated Venus is placed in the eighth house in Virgo with exalted Mercury, benefic debilitated Sun is placed in the ninth house in Libra, debilitated Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house in Capricorn and debilitated Mars is placed in the sixth house in Cancer. In this case, the native may lose his mother to death, before his age of 15 or 10, depending on the finer factors and running times. He may suffer from a serious mental disease/disorder, right from his birth. The native may not recover from such disease/disorder, throughout his life. He may spend many years in a mental asylum and he may also die in one such asylum, before the age of 50 or 40, depending on the finer factors and running times
