Debilitated Ketu in Fifth House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu is benefic in the fifth house in some cases whereas it may turn malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and malefic planets on Ketu and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. If benefic Sun is placed in the fifth house in Virgo with Mercury and Ketu, and benefic Moon is placed in the tenth house in Aquarius with Mars, the equation may become better. Sun and Mercury may form Budhaditya Yoga in the fifth house. In this case, the native may possess very good acting talent, and he may come across a lot of success, money, fame and recognition. She may witness delay, disturbances, medical complications, miscarriages, birth of abnormal children and/or other problems related to children. Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the fifth house of a horoscope in Virgo with malefic Mars. Debilitated Rahu is placed in the eleventh house in Pisces, benefic Mercury is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius with malefic Jupiter, benefic Sun is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio and Venus is placed in the sixth house in Libra. In this case, the native may witness delay in childbirth. She may have medical problems related to her reproductive organs and/or their functioning, she may have to avail treatment, and she may deliver her first alive child, after the age of 35. She may also suffer from one or two miscarriages.
If Saturn is placed in the third house in Cancer and debilitated Moon is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio with Sun, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may not conceive naturally, and she may try to conceive through in-vitro-fertilization (IVF). However, she may witness two or more failed pregnancy attempts or miscarriages, before she may deliver an alive child, which may happen after her age of 40 years. If the finer factors and running times are negative, the native may not have her first alive child till the age of 45, or throughout her life, though she may witness miscarriages and/or failed pregnancy attempts.
