Debilitated Ketu in Sixth House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu is benefic in the sixth house in some cases whereas it may turn malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and malefic planets on Ketu and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. Taking an example, suppose benefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the sixth house of a horoscope in Taurus with Mars. Benefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the twelfth house in Scorpio with benefic Jupiter, benefic Mercury is placed in the first house in Sagittarius, benefic Saturn is placed in the eighth house in Cancer and Venus is placed in the second house in Capricorn. In this case, the native may become an engineer or scientific researcher. He may get a well-paying job as a scientist/engineer in a private organization, and he may come across success, money and recognition through his profession. If the overall horoscope and running times are favourable, the native may go abroad and he may settle there on the basis of his profession.
If benefic Sun is placed in the twelfth house in Scorpio with Jupiter and Rahu, and Moon is placed in the third house in Aquarius, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may become a scientist/engineer and he may settle abroad on the basis of his profession. Such debilitated Ketu can trouble the native with various types of health problems which may trouble him, and they may reduce his lifespan. It can also trouble the native with delays, setbacks, financial losses, bad reputation, job loss and several other problems, through or related to his profession. Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the sixth house of a horoscope in Taurus with Saturn. Malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the twelfth house in Scorpio with Mercury, debilitated Sun is placed in the eleventh house in Libra, malefic Moon is placed in the tenth house in Virgo and debilitated Mars is placed in the eighth house in Cancer. In this case, the native may not properly settle in his profession, till the age of 40 or 45. He may also suffer from some health problems which may trouble him and they may reduce his lifespan. Hence the native may die before the age of 60 or 55, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
If malefic debilitated Venus is placed in the tenth house in Virgo with Moon, and Jupiter is placed in the seventh house in Gemini, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may not find a permanent profession, throughout his life. He may also suffer from various types of health problems which may trouble him a lot and they may reduce his lifespan. Hence the native may die before the age of 50, 45 or 40, depending on the finer factors and running times. The native may die because of some type of cancer, like stomach cancer, intestine cancer or rectal cancer.
