Debilitated Ketu in First House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu is benefic in the first house in some cases whereas it may turn malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and malefic planets on Ketu and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. Taking an example, suppose benefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Taurus with Venus. Benefic Sun is placed in the eleventh house in Pisces with benefic debilitated Mercury, Jupiter is placed in the sixth house in Libra, debilitated Rahu is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio and benefic Moon is placed in the fifth house in Virgo. Sun and Mercury may form Budhaditya Yoga in the eleventh house. In this case, the native may become an actor and he may also be a singer. The native may possess good acting talent, he may engage in acting from early age, and he may come across success, money, fame and reputation as an actor. He may work in television programs as well as in movies, as a lead actor. The native may have singing talent and he may engage in singing also, though he may primarily be known as an actor.
If Mars is placed in the eleventh house in Pisces with Sun and Mercury, and benefic Saturn is placed in the third house in Cancer, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may possess very good acting talent and he may have good singing abilities also. Hence he may witness a lot of success, money, fame and recognition as an actor and singer. The native may perform very well in the genres of romance, drama and comedy. He may deliver several hit movies and he may have a career which may last for many decades. The native may have a large number of fans and he may receive several awards for his acting performances in various movies. If the finer factors and running times are supportive, the native may earn billions through movies, songs, advertisements and live performances. He may get married to a beautiful fellow actor from another country. His first marriage may fail due to disturbances, and he may settle in his second marriage.

On the other hand, malefic debilitated Ketu in the first house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to health, lifespan, personality, mental health, profession, finances, reputation and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
Such malefic Ketu can trouble the native with various types of health problems which may trouble him, and they may reduce his lifespan. Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Taurus with malefic Jupiter. Malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio with malefic Mars, debilitated Saturn is placed in the twelfth house in Aries, debilitated Sun is placed in the sixth house in Libra and Moon is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius. In this case, the native may suffer from various types of health problems, which may aggravate after his age of 35 years. The native may suffer because of them and he may die before the age of 65, 50 or 55, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
If Mercury is placed in the sixth house in Libra with Sun, and Venus is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio with Mars and Rahu, the equation may become more troublesome. In general, Venus is partly malefic in horoscopes with Taurus ascendant. Malefic Mars and Rahu may transfer a lot of negative energy to Venus, and Venus may become significantly/highly malefic, depending on the finer factors. The term ‘finer factors’ means the placements of various planets in various nakshatras and navamshas, within various signs, like in Scorpio in this case. In this case, the native may suffer from a fatal health problem which may trouble him a lot and which may claim his life, before the age of 45, 40 or 35, depending on the finer factors and running times. The native may die because of some type of cancer or due to a viral infection.
