Debilitated Ketu in Eighth House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu is benefic in the eighth house in some cases whereas it may turn malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and malefic planets on Ketu and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. Taking an example, suppose benefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the eighth house of a horoscope in Virgo. On the other hand, malefic debilitated Ketu in the eighth house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to health, lifespan, profession, finances, reputation and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
Such malefic Ketu can trouble the native with various types of health problems which may trouble him and they may reduce his lifespan. It can also make the native vulnerable to unfortunate events which may cause injury or death. For instance, the native may fall victim to road accidents, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, air accidents, getting abducted for ransom and then getting killed, fire incidents, drowning incidents, getting caught in a crossfire, and other likewise events. Such malefic Ketu can also make the native vulnerable to various types of viral infections which may trouble him from time to time and one of them may even claim his life.
Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the eighth house of a horoscope in Virgo with exalted Mercury and Saturn. Malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the second house in Pisces with Mars, benefic Sun is placed in the seventh house in Leo and debilitated Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house in Capricorn. Angarak Yoga is formed in the second house. Both Saturn and Mercury are partly malefic in horoscopes with Aquarius ascendant. Hence the overall combination in the eighth house may become duly malefic. If malefic Moon is placed in the second house in Pisces with Rahu and Mars, and debilitated Venus is placed in the eighth house in Virgo with Mercury, Saturn and Ketu, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may die before the age of 35, 30 or 25, depending on the finer factors and running times. The native may die in an accident, through a viral infection, he may get killed or he may fall victim to a natural disaster like flood or earthquake.
