Debilitated Ketu in Fourth House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu in the fourth house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Ketu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. For example, the native may not have a good equation with his mother, his parents may get divorced and he may live with his father, his mother may suffer from a long-lasting illness, she may be an alcoholic and/or a drug addict, she may be a criminal, and/or she may die before native’s age of 20, depending on native’s overall horoscope and running times. In this case, native’s mother may die before his age of 15 or 10. He may become a criminal. He may engage in woman trafficking and violent crimes. He may execute several robberies, he may injure many people, and he may kill some people. He may kidnap and sell several women, he may rape many of them, and he may kill some of them. He may get caught between his age of 30 and 40, and he may receive prison sentence of more than 20 years. If the finer factors and running times are very bad, he may spend more than 30 years in prison.
Taking another example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the fourth house of a horoscope in Taurus with Mercury and malefic exalted Moon. Malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Scorpio, Saturn is placed in the sixth house in Cancer with Venus; benefic Sun is placed in the fifth house in Gemini, Mars is placed in the eighth house in Virgo, and debilitated Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house in Capricorn. Ketu and Moon form Grahan Yoga in the fourth house.
In this case, native’s mother may die before his age of 10 or 5. He may suffer from a serious mental disease/disorder like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. He may have to avail medicines as well as therapy to keep his situation under control. He may not find a permanent profession throughout his life, and he may remain jobless for periods of more than 6 months, many times in his life. If the finer factors and running times are very bad, he may spend several years in a mental asylum.
