Debilitated Ketu in First House
Ketu is debilitated in Taurus as well as in Virgo. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Debilitated Ketu in the first house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Ketu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. On the other hand, malefic debilitated Ketu in the first house of a horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to health, lifespan, personality, profession, finances, reputation, authority, recognition and several other problems, depending on his/her overall horoscope and running times.
If such debilitated Ketu is influenced by malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may witness various types of health problems which may trouble him, and they may reduce his lifespan. He may also witness reduction in lifespan due to several other reasons. For example, he may die in an accident, through a natural disaster, due to a fatal viral infection like COVID, due to drug addiction, or he may kill himself. Depending on his overall horoscope and running times, he may also get killed by someone, intentionally or unintentionally. Considering some unintentional incidents, he may get caught in a crossfire between two rival criminal gangs or that between criminals and police, or someone may accidently kill him. Malefic Rahu is placed in the seventh house in Pisces, malefic Mars is placed in the third house in Scorpio with Jupiter; retrograde Saturn is placed in the ninth house in Taurus, and Venus is placed in the twelfth house in Leo. In this case, the native may become a criminal, he may engage in several crimes, and he may spend more than 7 years in prison.
If Moon is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may engage in violent as well as financial crimes. He may execute several robberies, and he may kill many people. He may get killed in an encounter with police, or by another criminal, between his age of 30 and 40.
Taking another example, suppose malefic debilitated Ketu is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Taurus with exalted Moon and malefic Mars. Malefic debilitated Rahu is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio with malefic Jupiter; debilitated Saturn is placed in the twelfth house in Aries, debilitated Venus is placed in the fifth house in Virgo, and Sun is placed in the sixth house in Libra with Mercury. Guru Chandal Yoga is formed in the seventh house whereas Grahan Yoga is formed in the first house.
In this case, native’s mother may die before his age of 15 or 10, and his father may die before native’s age of 25 or 20. The native may not find a permanent profession throughout his life. He may only find temporary jobs, and he may remain jobless for periods of more than 6 months, many times in his life. He may witness 1 or 2 failed marriages, and he may settle in his second or third marriage. He may die before his age of 55 or 50, due to a heart attack, or some type of cancer.
