Characteristics of Capricorn
Capricorn is taken as the tenth among 12 zodiac signs, in Vedic astrology. It is ruled by Saturn. It features three nakshatras. The last three quarters of Uttarashada, all four quarters of Shravana and the first two quarters of Dhanishtha nakshatra fall in this sign. This sign features 9 navamshas ranging from Capricorn to Virgo. Capricorn to Pisces navamshas are ruled by Uttarashada, Aries to Cancer navamshas are ruled by Shravana and Leo to Virgo navamshas are ruled by Dhanishtha nakshatra. Capricorn represents earth element and it is taken as a feminine sign.
Looking at characteristics of Capricorn; it is a practical, logical, thoughtful, rational, materialistic, hard-working, analytical, goal-oriented, persevering, patient, disciplined, responsible, dependable, dominating, controlling and stubborn sign. The natives under strong influence of Capricorn are generally goal-oriented and they keep working to achieve their goals until they do. They may have loads of patience, hard-work and perseverance; and nothing may stop them from moving towards their goals. They can go through and withstand almost anything.
They may be disciplined and they tend to follow laws and rules. They generally do better and better with age; especially after the age of 35. They may not have much room for entertainment, relaxation and emotions; and they may not be good at forgiving. They may not depend much on hope, faith, luck, miracles and divine intervention; and they generally like to write their own destinies. They may do well or very well in profession whereas they may not be good when it comes to relationships. Between work and love; they may often choose work.
