Taking another example, suppose Mercury is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Cancer, in Pisces navamsha of Ashlesha nakshatra. Leo rises in the ascendant. Mercury rules the second and eleventh house. It is not strong in Cancer and it is not comfortable in Pisces navamsha of Ashlesha nakshatra; within the sign of Cancer. Hence strong Daridra Yoga may be formed in this case. The native may suffer from financial losses, insufficient income and a number of other problems; unless strong benefic planets interfere.
Let’s look at influences of other planets as well as the overall theme of horoscope on this yoga. Suppose in the same horoscope; benefic Sun is placed in the first house in Leo; benefic Venus is placed in the eleventh house in Gemini and benefic Mars is placed in the tenth house in Taurus. Benefic exalted Rahu is placed in the second house in Virgo. Sun empowers the first house, Venus empowers the eleventh house and Rahu empowers the second house. Hence the strength of this yoga may be reduced a lot and the native may not suffer much because of Daridra Yoga. On the contrary, he may witness good results related to profession and finances; among other things.
Let’s see what may happen when this yoga is influenced by malefic planets. Suppose Mercury in the twelfth house in Cancer forms Dur Yoga in a horoscope. Suppose benefic Sun, malefic Saturn and malefic Moon are also placed in the twelfth house in Cancer. A malefic combination of Jupiter and Ketu forms Guru Chandal Yoga in the first house in Leo and malefic Rahu is placed in the seventh house in Aquarius. Debilitated Venus is placed in the second house in Virgo and Mars is placed in the eighth house in Pisces.
Sun and Mercury are weak in Cancer, Saturn may also not be strong in this sign; and Moon is strong in Cancer. Apart from that, the twelfth house is a difficult house. Hence the combination in the twelfth house may turn highly malefic. Ketu afflicts Jupiter as well as the first house; and Venus is debilitated. Mars is not strong in Pisces and it is placed in a difficult house. As the combined result of these factors, the native may witness a number of problems related to many spheres of his life. The spheres of profession, finances, health and lifespan may suffer the most. Such native may live in financial tightness or poverty; and he may die before the age of 40; depending on the finer factors and running times.
