Article 175

Taking another example, suppose Sun is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Leo, in Aries navamsha of Magha nakshatra; and exalted Mercury is placed in the second house in Virgo, in Virgo navamsha of Chitra nakshatra. Sun and Mercury are strong in their respective signs as well as navamshas. Hence strong Veshi Yoga may be formed.

Let’s look at influences of other planets as well as the overall theme of horoscope on this yoga. Suppose in the same horoscope; malefic Ketu is placed in the first house in Leo and malefic Saturn is placed in the second house in Virgo. Saturn and Ketu may afflict Mercury and Sun respectively. Hence the strength of Veshi Yoga may be reduced significantly. Accordingly, the native may not benefit a lot from this yoga.

Suppose a malefic combination of Moon and Jupiter is placed in the third house in Libra, debilitated Venus is placed in the second house in Virgo; and debilitated Mars is placed in the twelfth house in Cancer. Suppose within Libra, Moon is placed in Taurus navamsha of Vishakha and Jupiter is placed in Capricorn navamsha of Swati nakshatra. Looking at the first house, Ketu forms Grahan Yoga and Pitra Dosh by afflicting Sun; and it also afflicts the first house. Looking at the second house, malefic Saturn may cause significant damage to Mercury and it may cause serious damage to debilitated Venus.

Mars is weak due to debilitation and it is placed in a difficult house. Looking at the third house; Moon is highly malefic whereas Jupiter should be partly benefic and partly malefic. However, Moon is stronger than Jupiter in the sign of Libra as well as in navamsha. Hence Moon may transfer a lot of negative energy to Jupiter. As a result, Jupiter may become more malefic than benefic. The concept of benefic planets turning malefic due to influences of malefic planets has been explained in Manglik Dosh section of the book ‘Match Making and Manglik Dosh (Revised Edition)’.

As the combined result of all these factors; the overall horoscope may become malefic. Hence Veshi Yoga may get cancelled out and the native may witness a number of problems related to many spheres of his life. Among them, the spheres of profession, marriage and health may suffer the most. Such native may not get married till late or very late; and/or he may witness troublesome marriages, followed by divorces. The native may get addicted to harmful drugs and he may lose health, money and reputation because of them.

Let’s see what may happen when this yoga is influenced by benefic planets. Suppose Sun in the first house in Leo and Mercury in the second house in Virgo form Veshi Yoga in a horoscope. Suppose benefic Venus is placed in the third house in Libra, benefic Mars is placed in the tenth house in Taurus along with benefic exalted Rahu; and benefic exalted Ketu is placed in the fourth house in Scorpio.

Suppose Jupiter is placed in the eleventh house in Gemini, Saturn is placed in the sixth house in Capricorn and Moon is placed in the eighth house in Pisces. Jupiter and Saturn may add more strength to the horoscope and they may not afflict any planet through conjunctions or direct aspects. Moon receives positive energy from exalted Mercury in the second house; and the overall horoscope is strong and benefic. Hence Moon may form Vimala Yoga in the eighth house. As the combined result of all these factors; the native may benefit a lot, in many spheres of his life. The spheres of profession, health, finances and wealth may benefit the most whereas the sphere of marriage may do well.

After this, the field of impact of this yoga is checked. It is checked through the placements of planets involved in its formation in various houses of horoscope. In the aforementioned example, Sun is placed in the first house and Mercury is placed in the second house. Hence such Veshi Yoga may render primary and secondary good results related to health, lifespan, father, profession, authority, finances, wealth, speech, communication and family.

Taking another example, suppose benefic Sun is placed in the tenth house of a horoscope in Leo, in Aries navamsha of Magha nakshatra; and benefic exalted Jupiter is placed in the ninth house in Cancer, in Cancer navamsha of Punarvasu nakshatra. Sun and Jupiter are strong in their respective signs as well as navamshas. Hence strong Vashi Yoga may be formed.

Let’s look at influences of other planets as well as the overall theme of horoscope on this yoga. Suppose in the recently mentioned horoscope; malefic Saturn as well as Rahu is placed in the tenth house in Leo with Sun; and malefic Mercury is placed in the ninth house in Cancer with Jupiter. Saturn and Rahu may afflict Sun; and Mercury may afflict Jupiter. Hence the strength of Vashi Yoga may be reduced significantly. Accordingly, the native may not benefit a lot from this yoga.

Suppose Mars is placed in the fourth house in Aquarius along with malefic Ketu; Venus is placed in the ninth houses in Cancer with Jupiter and Mercury; and Moon is placed in the eighth house in Gemini, in Ardra nakshatra. Mars in general is partly benefic and partly malefic for horoscopes with Scorpio ascendant. In this case, it may receive significant amount of negative energy from Ketu; and a lot of negative energy from the combination in the tenth house. As a result, Mars may turn much more malefic than benefic. The concept of benefic planets turning malefic due to influences of malefic planets has been explained in Manglik Dosh section of the book ‘Match Making and Manglik Dosh (Revised Edition)’.

Hence the planetary combinations in the fourth and tenth house may exchange a lot of negative energy. Rahu and Saturn may form Grahan Yoga and Pitra Dosh in the tenth house, by afflicting Sun. Jupiter may receive a lot of negative energy from Mercury and Venus. Hence it may turn much less benefic though it may not turn malefic since it is very strong in Cancer and Mercury as well as Venus is not strong in Cancer. Moon is not strong in Gemini and it is placed in a difficult house. As the combined result of all these factors; the overall horoscope may turn much more malefic than benefic; and Vashi Yoga may get cancelled out. The native may face problem in many spheres of his life and the spheres of profession and health may suffer the most.

Let’s see what may happen when this yoga is influenced by benefic planets. Suppose Sun in the tenth house in Leo and Jupiter in the ninth house in Cancer form Vashi Yoga in a horoscope. Suppose debilitated Mars is placed in the ninth house in Cancer with Jupiter, Moon is placed in the fifth house in Pisces, Venus is placed in the twelfth house in Libra, Saturn is placed in the third house in Capricorn and Mercury is placed in the tenth house in Leo with Sun. Suppose benefic Rahu is placed in the second house in Sagittarius and benefic Ketu is placed in the eighth house in Gemini.

Mars is supposed to be partly benefic and partly malefic. However, it is placed with benefic Jupiter which is exalted. Hence Jupiter may transfer a lot of positive energy to Mars; and Mars may turn much more benefic. As a result; this combination may form Neechbhang Rajyoga in the ninth house. Due to favorable placement as well as due to direct aspect of Jupiter; Saturn may become duly benefic in the horoscope.

Moon may add much more strength to the fifth house as well as to the overall horoscope. Sun is much stronger than Mercury in Leo. Hence it may reduce negativity of Mercury; though it may witness some damage through Mercury, in the process. The concept of malefic planets turning benefic due to strong influences of benefic planets has been explained in Manglik Dosh section of the book ‘Match Making and Manglik Dosh (Revised Edition)’.

Venus is strong in Libra and it may not cause damage to any planet through conjunction or direct aspect. Benefic Rahu and Ketu may add more strength to the horoscope. As the combined result of these factors; the native may benefit a lot in many spheres of his life and the sphere of profession may benefit the most. Such native may achieve a post of high authority in government through job or politics; depending on the finer factors and running times.

After this, the field of impact of this yoga is checked. It is checked through the placements of planets involved in its formation in various houses of horoscope. In the aforementioned example, Sun is placed in the tenth house and Jupiter is placed in the ninth house. Hence such Vashi Yoga may render primary and secondary good results related to profession, reputation, authority, money, father, higher education, spiritual growth and luck factor.

Taking another example, suppose benefic exalted Sun is placed in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries, in Leo navamsha of Bharani nakshatra. Suppose benefic exalted Venus is placed in the ninth house in Pisces, in Libra navamsha of Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra; and benefic Mars is placed in the eleventh house in Taurus, in Capricorn navamsha of Krittika nakshatra. Sun and Venus are exalted in their respective signs and they are strong in their respective navamshas. Mars may do very well when placed in Capricorn navamsha of Krittika nakshatra. Hence strong Ubhayachari Yoga may be formed in this case.

Let’s look at influences of other planets as well as the overall theme of horoscope on this yoga. Suppose in the recently mentioned horoscope; malefic Ketu is placed in the tenth house in Aries with Sun, malefic Saturn is placed in the ninth house in Pisces with Venus; and malefic Mercury is placed in the eleventh house in Taurus with Mars. Ketu, Saturn and Mercury may afflict Sun, Venus and Mars respectively. Hence the strength of Ubhayachari Yoga may be reduced significantly. Accordingly, the native may not benefit much from this yoga.

Suppose Jupiter is placed in the eleventh house in Taurus with Mars and Mercury; and Moon is placed in the eighth house in Aquarius. Jupiter is supposed to be partly benefic and partly malefic in this horoscope. However, Jupiter is not strong in Taurus and Mercury is strong in this sign. Hence Jupiter may receive a lot of negative energy from Mercury and it may become more malefic; though it may still be partly benefic. Mars may suffer more damage due to participation of Jupiter. Moon is not strong in Aquarius and it is placed in a difficult house. As the combined result of these factors; the native may not benefit much from Ubhayachari Yoga.

Let’s see what may happen when this yoga is influenced by benefic planets. Suppose benefic exalted Sun in the tenth house, benefic exalted Venus in the ninth house and benefic Mars in the eleventh house in Taurus form Ubhayachari Yoga in a horoscope. Suppose benefic exalted Moon is placed in the eleventh house with Mars; exalted Jupiter is placed in the first house in Cancer and Saturn is placed in the sixth house in Sagittarius. Benefic exalted Rahu is placed in the eleventh house in Taurus with Moon and Mars, benefic exalted Ketu is placed in the fifth house in Scorpio; and Mercury is placed in the tenth house in Aries.

The benefic combination in the eleventh house may form Chandra Mangal Yoga and it may add much more strength to the eleventh, first, fifth and tenth house. Moon rules the first and Mars rules the fifth as well as tenth house; and they are all empowered. Mercury may not cause much problem in the tenth house and it may produce benefic effects along with malefic effects. This is because Sun is much stronger than Mercury in Aries; and the overall horoscope is very strong and benefic.

Due to strong and benefic horoscope; Jupiter may also turn much more benefic and it may form Hamsa Yoga in the first house whereas Saturn may form Sarala Yoga in the sixth house. As the combined result of all these factors; the native may earn billions through some business or a creative field; depending on the finer factors and running times.

After this, the field of impact of this yoga is checked. It is checked through the placements of planets involved in its formation in various houses of horoscope. In the aforementioned example, Sun is placed in the tenth house, Mars is placed in the eleventh house and Venus is placed in the ninth house. Hence such Ubhayachari Yoga may render primary and secondary good results related to health, lifespan, mother, profession, reputation, authority, fame, finances, friends, wealth, father, marriage, husband, wife, higher education, spiritual growth and luck factor.
