Taking another example, suppose exalted Mercury is placed in the fourth house of a horoscope in Virgo and a combination of Sun and Jupiter is placed in the third house in Leo. Within Leo; Sun is placed in Aries navamsha of Magha nakshatra whereas Jupiter is placed in Cancer navamsha of Magha nakshatra. Both Sun and Jupiter are strong in Leo and they are exalted in their respective navamshas. Hence strong Kahal Yoga may be formed.
Let’s look at influences of other planets as well as the overall theme of horoscope on this yoga. Suppose in the same horoscope; malefic Saturn and Ketu are also placed in the third house in Leo. Saturn and Ketu may afflict Sun and Jupiter. As a result, Kahal Yoga may witness significant reduction in strength. Hence the native may not benefit a lot from this Yoga.
Suppose malefic Mars is placed in the fifth house in Libra with Venus; and debilitated Moon is placed in the sixth house in Scorpio. In general, Venus is partly benefic and partly malefic for horoscopes with Gemini ascendant. However in this case, Venus may get afflicted by Mars and it may turn more malefic than benefic. Moon is debilitated and placed in a difficult house. Hence the overall theme of horoscope may not remain benefic; despite the formation of Kahal Yoga and Bhadra Yoga. The concept of benefic planets turning malefic due to influences of malefic planets has been explained in Manglik Dosh section of the book ‘Match Making and Manglik Dosh (Revised Edition)’.
Let’s see what may happen when Kahal Yoga is influenced by benefic planets. Suppose Jupiter and Sun in the third house in Leo form Kahal Yoga; and benefic exalted Mercury forms Bhadra Yoga in the fourth house of a horoscope. Suppose benefic Moon is placed in the tenth house in Pisces, Saturn is placed in the twelfth house in Taurus, Venus is placed in the fifth house in Libra, benefic Rahu is placed in the first house in Gemini, benefic Ketu is placed in the seventh house in Sagittarius and exalted Mars is placed in the eighth house in Capricorn.
Moon and Mercury provide more strength to each other and Moon empowers the tenth house. Rahu adds more strength to the first house. Venus is placed in a comfortable house as well as in a very comfortable sign. Hence it may turn much more benefic than malefic. Saturn and Mars are strong in their relevant signs but they may not afflict any planet through conjunctions or direct aspects. The overall horoscope may become strong and benefic. Hence Mars may form Harsha Yoga in the eighth house and Saturn may form Sarala Yoga in the twelfth house. As the combined result of these factors; the native may benefit a lot in many spheres of his life. The spheres of profession and marriage may benefit the most.
After this, the field of impact of this yoga is checked. It is checked through the placements of planets involved in its formation in various houses of horoscope. In the recent example, Sun and Jupiter are placed in the third house whereas Mercury is placed in the fourth house. Hence the primary and secondary benefic results of such Kahal Yoga may reflect through the spheres of profession, reputation, fame, authority, mother, father, marriage, husband, wife, education, properties, vehicles, brothers, sisters, teammates, creativity, spiritual growth and a number of other spheres.
