Taking a look at one more theory, some astrologers recommend a navagraha gemstone pendant to most of their clients as they believe that wearing a navagraha gemstone pendant can take care of all the benefic as well the malefic planets in the horoscope of the native wearing this pendant. Accordingly, the native wearing such navagraha gemstone pendant will start seeing benefic results with increased quantum in all spheres of his life. In this chapter, we will discuss the issue related to the use of navagraha gemstone pendant to optimize the horoscope.
Before looking into this concept of wearing navagraha gemstone pendant, let’s first refresh a few things about a horoscope as well as about navagraha. Every human being has 12 energy centers in his body and at the time of birth of a baby, all the planets among navagraha register their positive, negative or mixed energies in these energy centers. It means that all the planets register and store their positive, negative or mixed energies with specific strengths and other specific characteristics in these energy centers.
Depending on the nature, strength and energy center chosen by each planet among navagraha, the final nature as well as the fate of the native is decided as the planetary energies stored in these energy centers start interacting with other energies according to the pattern formed by the overall horoscope. The final resultant of these energy interactions comes out in the form of net energy equation which may be called the overall horoscope of a native in astrological terms and it can be called his aura in spiritual terms. This topic has already been discussed in details in some of my previous chapters and interested readers should read it from there.
Moving on with the current topic, gemstones are prescribed to different natives in order to strengthen the energies of some specific planets in their respective energy centers. We have also discussed in previous chapters that gemstones should only be worn for positive planets and they should not be worn for negative planets. This is because gemstones can only increase the physical strength of their corresponding planets and they can’t change the working nature of these planets.
As a positive planet gains additional strength in the horoscope, body or aura of a native by virtue of the energy transferred through its gemstone, the net energy equation of the native is changed. Let’s assume Sun is placed in the first energy center of native, which means it is placed in the first house of his horoscope, it is positive and malefic Jupiter is also placed in the first house of this horoscope along with positive Sun. It should be noted that Sun in this case may primarily make two major contributions where the first contribution is the percentage it holds in the net energy of the first house and the second contribution is the percentage it holds in the net energy of the horoscope or the net energy equation or the aura of the native.
Looking at the energy equation of the first house, let’s assume positive Sun and negative Jupiter both hold 50% share of the net energy. It means that the energy equation of the first house has 50% positive energy from Sun and 50% negative energy from Jupiter. As this native starts wearing the gemstone for Sun, the energy of Sun situated in the first house may gain strength through this gemstone. On the other hand, the negative energy of Jupiter remains as it is since no extra energy is being provided to Jupiter.
As a result, the net energy of Sun as well as the share of Sun’s energy in the energy equation of the first house may increase, shifting this energy equation towards positivity. For instance, the gemstone for Sun may continuously transfer extra energy of Sun in the first energy center of this native and over a period of time, Sun may start having a share of 60%, 70% or even 80% in the net energy equation of the first house. It should be noted that wearing the gemstone for Sun doesn’t decrease the net strength of Jupiter’s energy in this case and it only increases the net strength of Sun’s energy; thereby affecting the net percentage held by Sun in this equation.
Making it even simpler, let’s suppose Sun holds positive energy of 50 KJs in the first energy center of a native and Jupiter holds negative energy of 50 KJs in the same energy center, where KJs represents kilo joules which is a unit to measure energy. As there are only two planets in this energy center, both these planets will hold 50% share in the net energy equation where Sun’s part is that of positive energy and Jupiter’s part is that of negative energy. Therefore, the native may at times see benefic results and he may at times see malefic results depending on the planetary periods, due to the impact of this mixed energy equation in the first house.
As the native wears the gemstone for Sun, this gemstone starts transferring more energy of Sun to the body of the native and this additional energy is stored in the first house, where the energy of Sun is originally located. Let’s suppose that over a period of 6 months, this gemstone gradually takes the energy of Sun to 100 KJ and it then stabilizes there. It means that this gemstone is not capable of increasing the net energy of Sun more than 100 KJs as it has reached its optimum limit. In simple words, this gemstone can only provide extra energy of 50 KJs to Sun and nothing more than that.
Let’s now look at the net energy of the first house after the application of Sun’s gemstone and see what changes after the introduction of this additional energy. The energy of Sun rises from 50 KJs to 100 KJs whereas the energy of Jupiter remains the same which is 50 KJs. However, the net energy of this house has now increased from 100 KJs to 150 KJs with Sun holding about 67% share of this energy and Jupiter holding about 33% share of this net energy. As you can see, no changes have been made to Jupiter’s energy but the overall share of Sun’s energy has increased in this house. This increased share of Sun’s energy in the first house gives Sun more control over the affairs of the first house and since Sun is positive for this native; the native may start witnessing increased number of good things happening to him whereas the number as well as quantum of bad things may reduce.
Looking at this equation from the opposite angle, if instead of the gemstone for Sun; this native wears the gemstone for Jupiter upon the recommendation of an astrologer, this is what may happen. The gemstone of Jupiter may provide extra energy to Jupiter, the net energy of Jupiter may rise to 100 KJs and the energy equation may change once again. Though Sun’s energy remains the same in strength, its net share in the overall energy of the first house drops from 50% to 33% and as a result, the net energy equation of this house shifts towards negativity. It means Jupiter now has more control over the affairs of the first house and since Jupiter is negative, the native may start facing more and more problems.
Readers should remember that I had mentioned Sun can make two major types of contributions in this horoscope. The second contribution comes in the form of Sun’s share in the net energy equation of this horoscope, which is called the overall horoscope or the aura of the native. Let’s assume that the net share of Sun’s positive energy in the overall energy equation is 10% and let’s assume Jupiter also holds the same share which is 10%.
In the first case, as this native wears the gemstone for Sun for a period of time, Sun’s energy may rise and its share in the net energy equation may rise, let’s suppose from 10% to 18%. Since Sun holds a better share of energy in the net energy equation now; and Sun is positive in this horoscope, the net energy equation shifts towards positivity. As a result, the native may start witnessing better results in many spheres of his life due to the overall energy equation becoming more positive.
On the other hand, if the gemstone for Jupiter is worn by this native and this gemstone takes the energy of Jupiter from 50 KJs to 100 KJs, the opposite may happen. The net share of Jupiter’s energy in the overall energy equation may increase from 10% to 18%. Since Jupiter holds a better percentage of energy now; and it is negative in the horoscope; the net energy equation may shift towards negativity. As a result, the native may start facing problems in many spheres of his life; where such problems may increase in number as well as in quantum. Hence this fact is established once again that gemstones should only be worn for positive planets and they should not be worn for negative planets as the gemstones of the latter type may increase the number and quantum of problems for the native.
Let’s go back to navagraha gemstone pendant. As a native wears a navagraha gemstone pendant, the gemstones fitted in that pendant start transmitting the energies of their corresponding planets among navagraha into the body of the native. Accordingly, all the energy centers which store the energies of different planets among navagraha, experience a flow of extra energy. Hence the strength of all positive as well as negative energies may increase though the net share of these planetary energies in the overall energy equation may remain the same.
This is because all the planets are gaining extra energy and hence their net share may not increase. For instance in the already mentioned example, if the native starts wearing the gemstone for Sun as well as the gemstone for Jupiter, this is what may happen. The energy of both Sun as well as Jupiter may now rise from 50 KJs to 100 KJs due to the extra energy transferred through their gemstones. However, the net share of energy held by these planets in the energy equation of the first house may remain the same. This is due to the reason that the overall energy of the first house may now increase from 100 KJs to 200 KJs where both Sun and Jupiter hold 100 KJs each; which is once again 50% share of energy for each one of these planets.
Applying the same theory to the overall energy equation, as the native wears gemstones for all planets among navagraha, the net positivity or negativity of the overall energy equation may remain the same; though the planetary energies may become stronger individually. If the overall horoscope or the net energy equation of a native is highly positive, he may not witness significant bad results after wearing such navagraha gemstone pendant. For example, if a native has a highly positive horoscope where the net share of positive energy is 80% and the net share of negative energy is 20%, this native may not witness significant issues after wearing such navagraha gemstone pendant. This is because the positive energies are much stronger than the negative energies and hence they may be able to take care of negative energies, even when they gain more strength.
On the other hand, if the overall horoscope or the net energy equation of a native is highly negative, he may come across disastrous results after wearing such navagraha gemstone pendant. For example, if a native has a highly negative horoscope where the net share of negative energy is 80% and the net share of positive energy is 20%, this native may witness serious issues after wearing such navagraha gemstone pendant. This is because the negative energies are much stronger than the positive energies and hence they may cause problems of higher intensity when they gain additional strength.
These are just two cases and there may be many cases with different percentages of positive as well as negative planetary energies in different houses of a horoscope as well as in the overall energy equation of a horoscope. Accordingly, some natives may suffer more after wearing navagraha gemstone pendant and some others may not witness significant problems after wearing such pendant, depending on the net energy equations they have. However, one thing is common among all these cases, which is the fact that negative energies also gain strength through navagraha gemstone pendant, which is an unnecessary practice.
For example, if a native is having a horoscope with 80% overall positive energy, the percentage may remain the same after wearing navagraha gemstone pendant though the planets may individually become stronger. On the other hand, if this native wears gemstones for positive planets only; the net energy equation may now become 90% positive instead of 80%. As obvious, the native may witness good results which may increase in number as well as in quantum. Similarly, a native with 20% positive horoscope may have 40% positive horoscope after wearing gemstones for positive planets only. In this case also, the native may do much better wearing the gemstones for positive planets only, instead of wearing a navagraha gemstone pendant.
I have also mentioned in a previous chapter that Saturn, Rahu and Ketu tend to express the negative parts of their energies first and they reserve the positive parts of their energies to be released later on. As most natives wearing navagraha gemstone pendants may have one or more than one of these planets completely or partly negative; the problems may intensify. This is because the increase in strength of these planets may give more strength to the expressions of their negative energies along with their positive energies.
Since the negative energies of these planets are materialized first; these natives may come across increased number of problems after wearing navagraha gemstone pendants though the net percentage of positive and negative energies held by these planets may remain the same. This is one more reason which stands against the theory of wearing a navagraha gemstone pendant. It can be easily understood from this discussion that navagraha gemstone pendant may not result in increased number of good results in most cases and it may result in increased number of bad results in most cases.
Hence a navagraha gemstone pendant is not suitable for most people and accordingly, it should not be worn. Only a few people who are highly spiritually advanced may be capable of channelizing the increased energy of negative planets after wearing a navagraha gemstone pendant. They are probably the only ones who can benefit from a navagraha gemstone pendant as they are capable of channelizing and utilizing the energy of even their negative planets in a positive way. Some of these spiritually advance natives may wear this pendant in order to fructify the results of good as well as bad karmas at a much faster pace, so that they may get rid of their pending karmas whether good or bad. This concept has been discussed in details, in a previous chapter under this section.
However, an average native doesn’t know how to deal with the increased energy of negative planets and hence he should avoid wearing a navagraha gemstone pendant as this may only result in more problems than before. It should be noted that a spiritually advanced person is looking for liberation and hence he is willing to face the fruits of his bad karmas at the earliest, so that he may get rid of him; no matter how much suffering they may cause. A materialistic person on the other hand is looking for better and better materialistic results, and he wishes to pay for negative karmas by balancing them out with increased number of specifically guided positive karmas instead of balancing them out by facing punishments.
A native of the second type is not in a hurry to achieve liberation and hence he has time, the time which he may utilize in creating more and more good karmas to negate the effect of bad karmas. A spiritual person on the other hand may be in a hurry and he may find it more suitable to physically bear the results of negative karmas by inviting the fruits of those karmas at a faster pace. At the same time, he may also engage in specific types of good karmas to negate a part of such negative karmas, so that the process may be made even faster. As you see, the objectives of a spiritual native and a materialistic native are different and accordingly they need different approaches.
Hence it is wise for a materialistic native; not to follow a spiritual native in this regard, which means he should not copy a spiritual native if such spiritual native chooses to wear a navagraha gemstone pendant or if he chooses to wear gemstones for negative planets only. Such spiritual native may wish to invite the results of all his bad karmas by wearing such gemstones, as he may be willing to get rid of them through extreme types of sufferings. However, a materialistic native doesn’t have this objective and he wishes to see more and more good results. His objective is to counteract the results of bad karmas with good karmas, though doing so may take much longer compared to the time taken by a spiritual native to do the same.
Therefore, an average native should avoid wearing a navagraha gemstone pendant as well as the gemstones for negative planets. In order to benefit from gemstones, the gemstones for benefic or positively working planets should only be worn as they may increase positive energy in the body and aura of the wearer, which may shift the overall equation of energy towards positivity. Hence the practice of recommending and wearing a navagraha gemstone pendant should be avoided and gemstones should be worn for the positive planets only.
