According to its prevalent definition; if Mars is placed with Rahu; or Mars receives an aspect from Rahu in a horoscope, Angarak Yoga is formed in such horoscope. Rahu should be malefic in order to form Angarak Yoga in a horoscope.
Once the formation of this Yoga is confirmed in a horoscope, the next thing to check is its strength. The strength of Angarak Yoga is checked through the placement of Mars and Rahu in various houses, signs, nakshatras and navamshas; as well as through the influences of other positive and negative planets on Mars and Rahu in a horoscope.
Looking at the signs, negative effects of Angarak Yoga formed by Mars and negative Rahu may decrease if this Yoga is formed in Aries, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn or Pisces. This is because Mars is stronger than Rahu in these signs. Hence such negative Rahu may not cause much damage to the significances of Mars. On the other hand, the formation of Angarak Yoga in Taurus, Cancer, Libra or Aquarius may prove troublesome for the person. Rahu may do more damage to the significances of Mars in these signs. Let’s take an example to understand this concept in a better manner.
Suppose a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries. Mars signifies courage, initiative, bravery, strength and immunity among other things. The tenth house deals with profession. Mars rules the fifth and tenth house in this horoscope. As a result, such Angarak Yoga may primarily cause problems related to overall health, initiative, courage, profession, love affairs, children and spiritual growth of the person. The type and quantum of these problems may change, depending on the overall horoscope of the person. Looking at profession, such Angarak Yoga may create various types of hurdles and obstructions in the professional sphere of the person.
As a result, the person may not get due credit for his work and he may have to change his job or profession; many times in his life. Such Angarak Yoga may also keep the person jobless for significant or long periods of time; depending on the rest of his horoscope. Such Ruchaka Yoga may bless the person with success through a number of professional spheres. Such person may achieve success as a defence professional, actor, dancer, sportsman, politician, government officer, doctor, IT professional, journalist or some other type of professional; depending on the rest of his horoscope.
Looking at nakshatras, suppose a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries. If both Mars and Rahu are placed in Ashwini nakshatra, the person may have to change his profession, many times in his life. Though the person may not remain jobless for long periods of time with this type of Angarak Yoga, he may lose his job or profession; many times. Such person may lose a job or he may quit a line of profession and engage in another job or line of profession, a number of times in his life; unless his overall horoscope corrects this problem. In this case, the person may lose his job or he may witness discontinuation of profession; more than once in his life. Unlike the person suffering from Angarak Yoga in Ashwini nakshatra, this person may remain jobless for significantly long periods of time. It means he may lose his job or profession and he may have to wait for a year or two before getting a new job; depending on his overall horoscope. The person may also not receive due credit for his work and he may have to face false allegations through his professional sphere. In extreme cases when such Angarak Yoga is supported by other negative planets in a horoscope; the person may face a criminal case related to his profession. Such person may suffer from bad reputation, penalty or even imprisonment; depending on his overall horoscope.
If a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries in Krittika nakshatra; the nature of problems may change. Such Angarak Yoga may trouble the person through competitors, rivals and enemies related to his field of profession. Such people may try to malign the reputation of this person and they may also try to throw this person out of profession. In extreme cases of this type; the person may suffer due to professional enemies, throughout his life. He may have to face serious problems because of them. If the overall horoscope is also negative in a specific manner; such Angarak Yoga may seriously damage the profession of this person; by means of a scandal. The professional enemies of this person may play important role in creating as well as highlighting such scandal.
Looking at navamshas; suppose Mars and Rahu form Angarak Yoga in the first house of a horoscope and both these planets are placed in Bharani nakshatra. If Mars is placed in Leo or Scorpio navamsha and Rahu is also placed in one of these navamshas; the problems may be relatively low in quantum. If Mars is placed in Leo or Scorpio navamsha and Rahu is placed in Virgo or Libra navamsha, the problems may become significant. Looking at the worst option; suppose Mars and Rahu form Grahan Yoga in the tenth house in Aries in Bharani nakshatra; and both of them are placed in Virgo navamsha. This is when such Angarak Yoga may cause problems of high quantum. This is because Mars is not strong in Virgo and Rahu is exalted in this navamsha. Hence the person may face serious problems related to his profession as well as those related to other relevant spheres of his life. Since Mars is generally strong in Aries, such problems may be lower in quantum; compared to the ones created by Angarak Yoga in a sign where Mars is weak.
Taking an example, suppose a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the tenth house of a horoscope in Virgo. If both these planets are placed in Virgo navamsha of Chitra nakshatra; the person may face serious problems. Such problems may be much higher in quantum, compared to the ones posed by Angarak Yoga in Virgo navamsha of Bharani nakshatra. Mars is not strong in Virgo and it is placed in the sign of Virgo as well as in Virgo navamsha. On the other hand, Rahu is exalted in Virgo and it is placed in the sign of Virgo as well as in Virgo navamsha. Hence the destructive potential of Angarak Yoga may increase a lot in the second case.
Moving on to the next factor, the influences of other positive and negative planets on Mars and Rahu in a horoscope should also be checked properly, before predicting the results of Angarak Yoga. Suppose a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the tenth house of a horoscope in Aries. At the same time, negative Mercury is also placed in the tenth house. The addition of negative Mercury to the tenth house may enhance the negativity in the tenth house as well as in the horoscope. As a result, the number of problems faced by this person as well as the quantum of such problems may increase. If negative retrograde debilitated Saturn is also placed in the tenth house in Aries in Bharani nakshatra, the negativity may increase even more. Though Saturn is debilitated in Aries, it does relatively well in Bharani nakshatra. On the other hand, it reaches maximum debilitation in Ashwini nakshatra. In this case, the person may face severe types of problems related to his profession, throughout his life. Such negative combination of Angarak Yoga and other negative planets may also cause problems in a number of other spheres of this person’s life. Hence the influence of positive and negative planets on Angarak Yoga should be checked properly.
Above all, the overall theme of the horoscope having Angarak Yoga should be analyzed carefully as this is what matters the most. Suppose a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the first house of a horoscope in Aquarius. If such Angarak Yoga is placed in Dhanishtha nakshatra or Shatabhisha nakshatra; it may trouble the person with a number of problems; depending on his overall horoscope. However, such Angarak Yoga on its own may not turn the person into a criminal. Though the person may become a criminal with such Angarak Yoga, but his engagement in crimes may initiate from other parts of his horoscope. It means such Angarak Yoga may help the person engage in crimes; only if the rest of his horoscope pushes him to engage in crimes.
However, if a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the first house of a horoscope in Aquarius in Poorvabhadrapada nakshatra; the equation may change. Such Angarak Yoga alone holds the potential to turn this person into a criminal. Let’s proceed with the latter case; when Angarak Yoga is formed in Poorvabhadrapada nakshatra.
The person in this case may engage in various types of crimes; depending on the rest of his horoscope. Suppose negative Saturn is placed in the tenth house of this horoscope in Scorpio and negative Moon is placed in the eleventh house in Sagittarius. A negative combination of Sun and retrograde exalted Mercury is placed in the eighth house in Virgo, Venus is placed in the sixth house in Cancer and negative debilitated Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house of this horoscope in Capricorn. The overall theme of the horoscope turns negative in this case and even the planets like Jupiter and Venus may act as negative planets. As a result, the person may engage in various types of crimes and he may serve prison sentences; more than once in his life. If the finer factors and running times are also against this person; he may get killed in an encounter or he may get murdered by another criminal.
Let’s look at the same example from the opposite angle. Suppose a negative combination of Mars and Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the first house of a horoscope in Aquarius, in Poorvabhadrapada nakshatra. Positive exalted Saturn is placed in the ninth house in Libra and positive Jupiter is placed in the tenth house in Scorpio. A positive combination of exalted Sun and Mercury is placed in the third house in Aries and positive Venus is placed in the fourth house in Taurus. In this case, the overall horoscope becomes positive. Hence the negative influence of Angarak Yoga may be reduced a lot. As a result, the person may become a government officer or he may engage in some type of business; depending on the placement of Moon, finer factors and running times. For example, if Moon is placed in the second house in Pisces in Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra; the person may become a revenue officer, an administrative officer, a doctor or a scientist; working with government in all these cases.
After this, the impact of running times should also be checked. The term ‘running times’ in this context means planetary periods, commonly known as Mahadashas. Running times are most important when it comes to check; when may the person suffer the most due to Angarak Yoga. Suppose a combination of positive exalted Mars and negative Rahu forms Angarak Yoga in the seventh house of a horoscope in Capricorn. Mars is positive as well as exalted in the seventh house. Hence it forms Ruchaka Yoga in the horoscope. However, due to strong affliction to Mars from Rahu; such Ruchaka Yoga my not produce significant good results. On the contrary, such Angarak Yoga may cause a number of problems in different spheres of this person’s life. Mars represents the fifth house and the tenth house; and it is placed in the seventh house. It means such Angarak Yoga may trouble the person with problems related to profession, marriage, children, spiritual growth, public image, love affairs and many other types of problems; depending on his overall horoscope.
Let’s consider the field of marriage for the sake of present discussion. Such Angarak Yoga may delay the marriage of the person till 35 years of his age; depending on the overall horoscope. In extreme cases when Venus as well as Saturn is also weak or afflicted in the horoscope of a male person; such Angarak Yoga may deny the marriage altogether. The person in such case may not get married throughout his life. If the overall horoscope is supportive for marriage; the person may get married in time. However, such Angarak Yoga may break one, two or even three marriages of the person; depending on the running times.
Suppose Venus and Saturn are placed well in this horoscope. If the 20 year planetary period of Venus hits this person during the early years of his marriage; the person may be able to save his marriage despite serious setbacks. If the planetary period of a negative planet other than Rahu hits this person during the early years of his marriage, such Angarak Yoga may break one marriage of the person. However, if the planetary period of Rahu strikes this person during early years of his marriage or if the person gets married in the beginning of Rahu Mahadasha; the problem may intensify. In this case, such Angarak Yoga may break two or three marriages of the person; depending on his overall horoscope. Such person may not enjoy matrimonial bliss as long as the planetary period of Rahu is in effect. It is only after the completion of Rahu period that he may settle in a marriage.
In cases where Mars is positive and Rahu is negative; Angarak Yoga may be relatively less troublesome. When both Mars and Rahu are negative in a horoscope; Angarak Yoga may cause problems of higher quantum. Taking an example, suppose negative Mars and negative Rahu form Angarak Yoga in the seventh house of a horoscope in Sagittarius. Such Angarak Yoga may cause even more intense problems related to the marriage of this person; than those caused by Angarak Yoga in the seventh house in Capricorn.
Looking at some probabilities, if the planetary period of a positive planet is in effect when the person gets married; he may witness one broken marriage. If the planetary period of a negative planet other than Mars and Rahu is in effect; the person may witness two broken marriages. However, if the planetary period of Mars is in effect when the person gets married; the person may witness three, four, five, six or even seven broken marriages; depending on the rest of his horoscope. Unless Jupiter and Venus are strong and clean in this horoscope; the person may not settle in any marriage as long as the planetary periods of Mars and Rahu are in effect. He may settle in a marriage, only after the completion of Rahu period. Even if Jupiter and Venus are both strong in this horoscope, such Angarak Yoga may still break one or two marriages of the person; if his first marriage happens when the planetary period of Mars is in effect. In such case, the person will face at least 18 years of Rahu period, even if he gets married towards the end of Mars period.
Looking at balancing factors in the same case, suppose a positive combination of Jupiter and Moon is placed in the tenth house of this horoscope in Pisces. This combination forms Hamsa Yoga as well as Gaj Kesari Yoga in the horoscope. Suppose a positive combination of Mercury and Venus is placed in the fifth house in Libra. In this case, the horoscope becomes much better. The placement of Moon with Jupiter and the placement of Mercury with Venus provides more strength to these planets. Hence the person may be able to settle in his second or even in his first marriage; even if his first marriage is conducted when the planetary period of Mars is in effect. The overall theme of a horoscope is the most important factor in it and it can change anything.
