Characteristics of Aquarius
Aquarius is taken as the eleventh among 12 zodiac signs, in Vedic astrology. It is ruled by Saturn. It features three nakshatras. The last two quarters of Dhanishtha, all four quarters of Shatabhisha and the first three quarters of Poorvabhadrapada nakshatra fall in this sign. This sign features 9 navamshas ranging from Libra to Gemini. Libra to Scorpio navamshas are ruled by Dhanishtha, Sagittarius to Pisces navamshas are ruled by Shatabhisha and Aries to Gemini navamshas are ruled by Poorvabhadrapada nakshatra. Aquarius represents air element and it is taken as a masculine sign.
Looking at characteristics of Aquarius; it is a flexible, intelligent, adaptable, versatile, idealistic, philosophical, adventurous, analytical, humanitarian, easy-going and assertive sign. The natives under its strong influence may exhibit a wide variety of personalities and it may be difficult to pin them down to specific types. They may often defy patterns and behave in unpredictable ways. They love to learn more and more about various aspects of life, nature and universe. They’re often interested in various subjects of science and they may end up engaging in them.
They may be more interested in solving mysteries related to bigger things like nature, galaxies and universe; and they may not care that much about day to day matters. They may be very social or they may be complete loners; depending on which nakshatras influence them more, within this sign. They may not care much about saving money as well as building wealth; and they may spend much of it for enjoyment and/or in pursuit of knowledge. They may have significant/strong tendencies to achieve spiritual growth. At times, they may be too-assertive and they may not reconsider their positions or viewpoints; even when they should.
