Know Your Signs - Taurus

                                                             In Vedic Astrology, Taurus is considered as the second zodiac sign among the twelve zodiac signs and this sign is ruled by Venus which is considered as the planet that  represents earthly luxuries and comforts. The last three padas of Krittika Nakshatra, all four padas of Rohini Nakshatra and the first two padas of Mrigasira Nakshatra are ruled by this sign called Taurus. The Moon which is a signifier of easy materialistic gains, pleasures and comforts, gets exalted when placed in Taurus which means that the out of all the twelve zodiac signs, moon is considered to be the strongest when placed in Taurus probably due to the reason that Taurus is an Earthy sign ruled by Venus which indicates that it supports the planets signifying earthly comforts and pleasures like the Moon and Venus. Apart from the Moon Venus is also considered very strong when placed in Taurus in a horoscope.

                                                           Taurus represents the face and facial organs like Eyes, Nose and throat etc. in the parts of body. A strong Taurus sign and a strong Venus in a horoscope generally indicates beautiful facial features whereas weakness of Taurus or Venus in a horoscope can cause deformities in some of the facial organs or the face itself and can cause the native to have average or below average facial beauty and at the same time, weakness of Taurus can cause physical problems in throat region or the problems related to the facial organs and severe afflictions of negative planets to this sign in a horoscope can cause the native to suffer from facial scars, skin problems on face and facial surgeries, among many other things. 

                                                             The placement of some good positive planets like the Moon and Venus in Taurus in a horoscope can bless the native with easy gains and materialistic pleasures and comforts depending upon the other important aspects of his horoscope. Such native are also likely to be gentle, caring and soft in their approach towards many spheres of life as well as towards most of the people depending upon the other aspects of their horoscopes. These qualities are also seen when Taurus becomes the rising sign or Ascendant in a horoscope. On the other hand the placement of some strong negative planets or the afflictions from some strong negative planets to Taurus in a horoscope can make the native suffer from lack of materialistic pleasures, comforts and luxuries and he may not see any easy gains or pleasures throughout his life depending upon the other important aspects of his horoscope. Such natives are also likely to suffer from physical problems in the face and throat region which can go to very serious limits if both Taurus and Venus are seriously afflicted by negative planets in a horoscope.
