                                                               The first house of horoscope is known as Lagna in Vedic Astrology and this is the most important house of a horoscope among all the houses as per Vedic Astrology. It is also called Tanu Bhava as it tells about the birth, body and physical appearance.  The sign falling in the first house of a horoscope is known as the Ascendant or Rising sign. First house of the horoscope has a say in almost all the fields of a person’s life. It has a major say in deciding the nature and personality of the horoscope holder. The first house also indicates about the health, longevity, reputation and status of the horoscope holder.

                                                               First house of the horoscope represents Head, Brain and Hair etc. Any kind of bad influence of one or more negative planets on the first house either by placement or by aspect can result in Mental tension, Scars or wounds near head or forehead region, imbalance of mind and many such problems related to head region.

                                                              This house also tells about the good or bad karmas that we have brought forward from the previous lives and the results or fruits of which we are supposed to bear in this life. This house tells about the height or status that one can achieve in his life. This house also tells about the finances and successes to be achieved by a person as a result of his own efforts.

                                                              This house also tells about the intelligence, dumbness, cleverness and stupidity of a person. It tells about the softness or hardness of nature and also indicates about polite or impolite nature of a person. It also indicates about the self esteem and ego of a person. A disturbed first house due to bad influence of one or more negative planets by placement or aspect can result in disturbance in almost every field of a person’s life as the first house is called the Lagna and is the most important house of the horoscope. This house also has a say in deciding the age or longevity of a person. It also indicates happiness or disturbance in married life of a person. A strong first house is always a bonus regarding a person’s age, health, marriage, profession and so many other things.
